Raymond James welcomes $190 million financial advisor in Claremont, New Hampshire
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Martha Maki and Kayla Rivet to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Alex David, Northeast division director for RJFS.
Maki arrives from Edward Jones where she previously managed more than $190 million in client assets. At Maki Financial in Claremont, New Hampshire, she’s joined by Rivet, who arrives from LPL Financial, and office manager Pamela Shattuck. Together they provide personalized financial services to a range of clients including business owners, women and LGBTQ+ investors and individuals planning for or living in retirement.
“I chose to launch my independent practice this year with a focus on holistic financial planning. We look for ways to use financial planning to improve our clients’ overall well-being and guide them through the steps to better align their finances with their needs and life purpose. After a lot of due diligence, I found Raymond James offers an appealing technology platform and a depth of back office support to allow us to work efficiently and focus on spending time with our clients. It’s also important that Raymond James feels philosophically aligned with our practice and also values having a positive impact in their local community,” said Maki.
As founder of the practice, Maki has over two decades of industry experience since joining Edward Jones in 2003 and building a new branch office in Claremont. In addition to earning her Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington, Tacoma, she is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Accredited Asset Management SpecialistTM.
Rivet launched her advisory career in 2022 at LPL Financial, before which she held various positions at a local community bank including as a client service associate in the financial services office. She is currently earning her bachelor's degree in finance at Southern New Hampshire University.
