Ben is our Full time Client Relationship Manager, but he also donates his skillset to Young Life Victoria as a Volunteer Committee Member. He works with the rest of the board to support the two local staff members with whatever will help them be successful. Ben also recently won Vancouver Island Soccer League Referee of the Year award!

Every month Chris has a blast helping out the good people of the Living Edge Market in Victoria. Living Edge puts up a free market of fresh produce for those "living on the edge". He has enjoyed being able to do this with his wife, daughter and now son-in-law!

Natives to Moldova, Alex and his family sold baked goods, crafts and paintings in 2022-2023 to raise money for Ukrainian kids/refugees. Specifically, they made hundreds of Martsishors. Martsishors are ornaments gifted to friends and family every March 1st in Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria - as a symbol of spring and beginning. Alex wrote more about this here.

Joanne brings her tenacity to coaching youth basketball! She currently coaches the Vic Howlers Under-11 Boys Basketball team. As a coach, she appreciates the privilege of nurturing young athletes' passion for the game while instilling important values such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. For Joanne, it's an honor to witness the players growth both on and off the court. As an added bonus her son is also on the team!

Melissa is a proud Rotarian at her club, the Rotary Club of Nanaimo-Oceanside, where the focus is on youth and families. She meets weekly to work through creating positive change for children and youth, at home and around the world. She especially invests in the Rotary Youth Exchange program as a host, counsellor, fundraiser, global liaison and more!

Clarke loved his time volunteering with "Powder Hounds" Adaptive Ski/Snowboard Program at Big White teaching snowboard lessons for individuals with cognitive, physical or visual impairments. He also volunteers with Special Olympics British Columbia. He specifically looks forward to their Motionball Marathon of Sport day- a fundraising event where participants are paired up with a Special Olympic Athlete to complete different sport challenges throughout the day.
